About Teal Cat

Hi! My name is McKenzie VanDeWalle. I just finished my freshman year in high school at Fillmore Central in Geneva, NE. I started my business to help my friend go to church camp and have continued it as a way to earn money for my expenses and save for college.

I LOVE to bake and experiment with recipes. Most of my recipes have been purple ribbon winners at our County Fair and qualified for the Nebraska State Fair. I continue to expand my baked products based on the season and have even developed gluten-free recipes for my FCCLA STAR project. If there is something on my menu that you want and I don’t offer, let me know and I will do my best to accomodate.

I really appreciate the many people who have supported me and got me started!

I continue trying new recipes for my baking business. Using recipes I entered in fair, my staple items are scones, coffee cakes, chocolate chip peanut butter cookies and lemon poppyseed bread. I have also started trying to promote a monthly cake.
